One of my favorite Link Ups is Gussy Sews Inspiration Workshop.  I am sad that this is her last one, but I have had so much fun linking up all my different inspiration posts! 

Today's topic is favorite DIY. I LOVE DIY! Today, I am sharing 2 of my favorite DIY projects that I've completed lately + I pulled some pretty DIY projects I can't wait to try from my Pinterest board.

I made this DIY Faux Vintage Pull Down Map & it has become wildly popular on pinterest!  I kind of squealed when Jan of Poppytalk re-pinned it! 

I LOVE these super cute + fun Anthro Inspired Snag Free Hair Ties!  The best part: they are cheap to make & require little supplies!

I ♥ the look of rustic, natural, unfinished wood. These DIY projects reflect that & I can't wait to try them! I have been wanting open kitchen shelves like those forever + they would be so easy to do! And that end table = perfection. The color, the rusticness (is that a word? Well it is now!) 

Lesson of the day: I must get some scrap wood...pronto!

Inspiration Workshop: Dream Bedroom

I am so excited Gussy has brought back the inspiration workshop series after a long break!  It is always fun to share inspiration & dream about pretty things!

Which is what I am doing today, dreaming about a pretty, organized, relaxing oasis of a bedroom.  Preferably minus the crib that is STILL in our bedroom due to lack of space for Lucy to have her own room.  *Sigh*

Anyway, here are some bedrooms that have been on my Pinterest "A place to lay my head" board for a while now...

I am a huge fan of the simple bed frame with unique, re-purposed head board!  I LOVE old things...and scouring for the perfect pieces to incorporate in my home is so much fun! It is like a high when you find that perfect piece!


Like the gorgeous old doors used in this bedroom, the beautiful shutters used in this one & the amazing old mantle used in this bedroom.


And LOOK at how they used old doors for the bed frame...pure deliciousness. 


I am actually in the process on convincing the hubby that our bedroom NEEDS repainted...it is an uphill battle.  But I am going thrifting with my friend Hannah on Saturday, so here's to hoping I can score some amazing finds like these...our bedroom is in dire need of a makeover!

Inspiration Workshop: Flowers

Another week of Inspiration Workshop & I have to say, I love this week's theme! 

Who doesn't love pretty flowers?

I just want to hop on that darling bike and ride all over the fantasy town in Maine I just invented as I pictured myself riding in my vintage floral print dress and big vintage shades to meet my honey for a beach picnic. {one can dream}


Do succulents count as flowers? If not they should, look how amazingly pretty these are!  I want a box of them just like this on my desk.  I am officially on the hunt for some sweet succulents.

One thing I can't resist is pretty floral fabrics.  They just transform the ordinary if you ask me! Look at those vintage suitcases dressed up with some pretty floral fabric...and those CUTE DIY potholders, those would look great in any kitchen...and that floral fabric chair is to die for! 

Inspiration Workshop: Favorite Recipe & a Secret...

Another week of Inspiration Workshop and this week's Prompt is FAVORITE RECIPE.


I have a secret...I sort of hate cooking, but I LOVE to eat! Nothing beats sharing an amazing meal with friends and family! 
My favorite meals are the ones other people make! *smiles*


But when I do cook, I have to admit (with some guilt) that most meals are out of a box, or the freezer...so sad, I know. 


Some quick and easy go to meals that I don't mind making are my Mom's chicken noodle casserole, a big pot of chili or these yummy mini meat loaves I make! But I did not have time to make and take pictures of those (maybe I will have to share those some day) so I thought I would share some yummy looking dishes from my pinterest board. 

I love comfort food in the fall and winter months! What is better than a yummy pot of homemade Chicken Noodle soup or creamy homemade Mac N Cheese??


And how amazing does this homemade pizza look?! I bet it is not even that hard! Right up my alley! :)


I think I will have to make my hubby happy & try these recipes out!

Inspiration Workshop: DIY

Another week of Inspiration Workshop & I am excited about this week’s prompt: DIY.


I LOVE doing DIY projects, the sad thing is that lately, I have had no time. Which is good and bad. Good because my business is growing and growing, bad because I crave some free time to be creative & dig into my long list of DIY projects I want to do!

Inspiration Workshop: Favorite Shop

Another week of Inspiration Workshop & I am excited about this week’s prompt: FAVORITE SHOP. 

I Love keeping up with trends and getting new clothes! Who doesn't?! But I can't spend a lot of money on clothes, in fact I don't like spending over $20 on one item most times! {Unless I TOTALLY Love it & it is totally neccessary} 

That's why I love forever 21! They always have trendy clothes, are totally my style & are CHEAP!

Inspiration Workshop Week 14: Books

I want a reading nook JUST like this.

I have always loved to read. 
I think it was because I saw my Mom reading every chance she got.
I used to LOVE going to the library and bringing home stacks of books when I was a kid.  
I remember devouring the Nancy Drew & Baby sitters Club books.
I love the smell of the library, and all the old books. 
I could not wait to dive into a new book and be transported into a new world. It's like MAGIC! I love the possibilities of a new book!

I especially love reading on vacation, at the beach & at the pool!

I am the type of person, given a good book, will read cover to cover, staying up late hours just to finish. 

I am the type of person who lives the story, feel a part of it.


I am the type of person who can read a great story over and over. 

I am the type of person who almost ALWAYS loves the book more than the movie. 

Now that I have 3 young kids, I don't have as much time to read, but I do when I get the chance!  I will say unashamed, that the Twilight Series is by far my most favorite book series!

Inspiration Workshop Week : Vintage

I love vintage. I love vintage inspired. I love vintage inspired clothes. I love vintage fabric. I love re purposing vintage items. Put me in an attic full of old stuff and I will be busy for hours! Me + Vintage = love.

Perfect that this week's Gussy Inspiration Prompt is VINTAGE!

I am so inspired by weddings and wedding photo shoots! Maybe because I am a romantic, I don't know, but something about them inspires me.  Maybe because I create Vintage Wedding Keepsakes! So I knew my theme for Vintage this week would be weddings!

I know if my hubby and I were to do our wedding over, it would be VINTAGE to the max! And we would dance to Frank Sinatra & drink champagne & admire all the lovely vintage touches!

As much as I love stalking wedding blogs for inspiration, I LOVE giving new life to Vintage Silverware and creating wonderful keepsakes for your wedding more!! 

 So I had to include some of my Re purposed Vintage Silverware!

It is week 13 of Inspiration Workshop & this week's prompt is FAVORITE COLORS.
My favorite color changes, depending on what day you ask me...but lately I am crushing on Coral & Mint {together}
