I am loving the Bohemian feel of today's picks. They make me want to frolic around in my swimsuit & that amazing vintage kimono & pick flowers all day. 

The vintage/industrial feel of the above space is exactly my style.  I want to hop right into that picture & answer my emails at that desk!

Monday Mash Up: Spring Fling

Spring is almost over & Summer is almost here! Let's be honest, in Ohio Spring and Summer are far too short! I have been trying to make the best of it by being outdoors, working on my flower gardens, taking a few weekend family trips, grilling out often, evening fires & summer dresses. 

I have also been working on a lot of new items, it's one of my favorite parts about having a handmade business.  Speaking of, have you seen the new vintage spoon necklaces? They are so ME. I am always overjoyed when a product that truly reflects me and my style goes from a vision to a reality!

We also had our 10 year anniversary party last weekend & I can't wait to share it with you! Here is a sneak peek of the fun favors from the party! Stay tuned for more!

My Favorite Photo Apps.

Instagram is my favorite form of social media! I barely use twitter & hardly ever get on facebook anymore.  Using way too many social media platforms can be exhausting! So I choose to do one well & allow myself to slack on others. 

Instagram feels real and authentic to me. It's so fun looking through glimpses of people's daily lives through their photos! 

I love using photo apps...who doesn't? Adding fun effects, graphics & text is not only fun, but makes your photos interesting & pretty!  

When I took the Instagram class (at SNAP) taught by Susan, Rhonna & Shelley, the first thing they said was to have pretty pictures.  It seems like a no-brainer, but there a A LOT of pictures that come through my feed that are dark, unfocused & just not pretty.  (mine included)

My pictures are not always beautiful & prize worthy but I am constantly working at improving and making my pictures pretty!

One of the ways to do that is by using photo apps to enhance your photos! Above are the photo apps I currently use.  I don't use all of them all of the time. 

Right now my most used apps are Whitagram, Vintique & the new A Beautiful Mess App. I am completely in love with the A Beautiful mess app, so I chose to show you more of this one!

I just purchased the A Beautiful Mess App ($.99) & it is already my instant favorite. It's not surprising that this app is awesome, because Elsie & Emma are awesome. 

I have been playing around with it all morning and it is SO me! It has all the things I have ever wanted in a photo app all in one place!

Can I get an AMEN?!

The app includes pretty borders, photo filters, the ability to add your own text to photos (in 4 fun fonts), cute shapes & icons (hello speech bubbles and arrows!) & 12 pre made text phrases in super cute fonts. 

Needless to say I am in LOVE with this app! Way to go Elsie & Emma!

Monday Mash Up: Create A DIY Number Wall

I have a thing for Numbers...maybe that's why I married one? Ok, lame joke! Give me a break, it's Monday! 

Anyway, I love decorating with vintage. That's a given. But I also love using Numbers, and it fits perfectly given our last name is Numbers.  

I started a number wall in our living room playing off the fact that there are 5 of us Numbers'.  I have been collecting all sorts of number 5's & plan to surround our family picture with them.

I shared the picture of my (in progress) number wall on Instagram, and a few of you said you were looking for numbers too, so thought I would share some really cool ones I found. 

While I was browsing, I found some more 5's to add to my collection, I bought this one and this one. I can't wait to get them! They will look perfect with the others!

I am so ready to get away! We always try and take a fun vacation every summer. This year certain long trips just didn't seem to be working out, so we are planning a few weekend trips instead.  And I am actually more excited about them!  We will get to go to a few more places and I think it will be better for the kids this way too!

All the featured items today remind me of the dreamy, summer getaway I am longing for! Relaxing, warm weather & time with my family! I can't wait!

I am beyond ready for Spring. I actually ordered the coral maxi skirt in hopes that would speed up its arrival! Plus, I want to use it for a fun little photo shoot I will be having soon! :)
