I love essential oils & I really love making my own sprays, blends and perfumes! My current obsession: BODY & ROOM SPRAYS!!!
In high school I was the queen of Bath and Body Works body sprays. 🙋🏻🙈 But now I know some body sprays are full of yuck we don't really want in and on our bodies...so I've made my own natural sprays using Young Living essential oils!

For as long as we have been married (since 2003) our bedroom has always been the hodge lodge catch all/ laundry room full of hand me downs and mismatched furniture. Embarrassing. And not really the master retreat I have always dreamed of. It only got worse when we had kids. I just focused more energy on their rooms and other parts of our home.
Recently I decided to turn our bedroom into a place we love to come and unwind together after long hectic days with 3 kids. I call it project: turn the master bedroom into a retreat...on a budget.

DIY Essential Oil Bath Bombs
by June-27-2016
Great relaxation bath bomb recipe!
Ingredients
- 4oz Baking Soda
- 2oz Corn Starch
- 2oz Citric Acid
- 2oz Epsom Salt
- 1-1 1/2 tsp Water
- 1 tsp Essential Oil
- 1 1/4 tsp Coconut Oil
- 1-2 drops Food Coloring
Instructions
In a bowl combine the dry ingredients (the first four listed above). Whisk to remove any clumps, corn starch tends to be clumpy. In a small glass jar stir together the wet ingredients (the last four ingredients listed). If you're using coconut oil, give it a quick melt in the microwave or stove top first so it will more easily combine with the other ingredients. Slowly pour the liquid mixture in with the dry mixture, whisking as you go. If you see the mixture fizz or foam, you may be adding the liquid too quickly. Once all the wet ingredients are combined with the dry, take a small amount in your hand and squeeze it together. It should stick together fairly well in one or two big chunks. If it's still too powdery to hold together, just add a tiny bit more water and mix until it does hold together.

What you need:
Chicken wire letter
Succulents (approximately 10 depending on size)
Cactus/succulent potting soil
Moss for filler
These DIY succulent letters are such a fun project! We had a blast getting together and making them! Once you gather all your supplies, you want to start by filling your letter with your cactus & succulent soil. This soil is the best for succulents who need well drained soil.
Fill your letter almost to the top of the chicken wire.
Then you want to start selecting where you want to put each succulent. Start in one corner of the letter and fill from there.
When you are ready to put your succulents in the soil, snip one or two lines of the chicken wire, do not snip a huge hole, or your succulents will not stay in the letter when you hang it. Bend the wire you snipped out, place the succulent in the small hole you just made and then bend the wire back down into place over top the roots of the succulent to hold it in place.
Continue this step until the entire letter is full.
This was one of my favorite DIY projects! You can sit your letter in your home, on your patio or on a table on your porch. The letters are able to be hung, so you can even hang it on an exterior wall! We hung ours outside our studio!

I have been looking for something cute to hang above the girls beds for a while now & decided to make something for them myself. These DIY, no-sew dream catchers were so easy & fun to make! Plus, the girls love them!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Vintage Sheet(s) or other scrap fabric
- Lace curtain or scrap lace
- Hot glue gun
- Embroidery hoops
Start by cutting strips of sheet or fabric and wrap it around the hoop. Then glue the end of the fabric to the hoop.
Doesn't it look so pretty when you are done?
- Then lay the finished hoop on top of the lace & cut out a circle of lace to fit.
- Start gluing the lace to the back of the hoop - stopping before you finish it.
- Now tie the strips of fabric & lace to the bottom of the hoop.
- When you are done with the strips, finish gluing the lace to the hoop.

I am not sure who was more excited when our beads arrived, them or me! The colorful box of beads made me so happy! We quickly got to work making necklaces for ourselves and for gifts! The girls each made some "friendship necklaces" for their best friends.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Variety of Wood Beads in various colors and sizes- there are so many styles available on Etsy.
- Jersey fabric of your choice- cut in strips.
- Scissors.
MAKING YOUR NECKLACE:
- Start by cutting a strip of jersey fabric thin enough to thread through the hole in your beads.
- Lay out the beads in the pattern you want. Mix colors and sizes for a great look!
- Thread the beads on the fabric.
- Tie knots at the end of the necklace against the last beads.
- Tie the necklace in a bow at the ends.
- Slip over your head! Ta da!!
The girls had so much fun picking out the beads to design their own necklaces!
We had some left over so we made some bracelets too using the same method. When we tied the knot in the back, we snipped off the excess fabric.
Happy making friends!!

I, like most people not living under a rock, have an obsession with succulents...and coffee. So this DIY was a match made in heaven! These Vintage coffee cans have so much character and they will look great in my studio!
- Vintage Coffee Cans (I got mine for a few dollars at antique shops)
- Potting Soil
- Succulents of your choice
- Large wood Skewers
- Washi Tape
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
Take your large skewers and wrap your washi tape around the tops & cut them in the shape of little flags.
The washi tape flags add a little pop of extra whimsy to the platers!
Fill your coffee cans with potting soil & arrange your succulents, leaving room for growth. My studio has a ton of natural light, so my succulents grow well in there!
I am so happy with how these turned out! The perfect accents to my studio, which is fueled by caffeine!!
