I, like most people not living under a rock, have an obsession with succulents...and coffee. So this DIY was a match made in heaven! These Vintage coffee cans have so much character and they will look great in my studio!

DIRECTIONS:

Take your large skewers and wrap your washi tape around the tops & cut them in the shape of little flags.

The washi tape flags add a little pop of extra whimsy to the platers!

Fill your coffee cans with potting soil & arrange your succulents, leaving room for growth. My studio has a ton of natural light, so my succulents grow well in there!

strawberries, plants & a birds nest.

I am so excited about my strawberries this year!
I planted them last year and did not get a good yield
(which is common the 1st year)

But they are looking great this year
and I can't wait to eat them!

I am also planning on freezing some too!
Also, my azalea bush is in full bloom
& so is the tree in our front yard!
I also planted some broccoli in the garden
& marked it with one of my garden markers...

I can't wait to plant my tomatoes and cucumbers soon!

plus...we saw a little bird fly out of our bush
so we took a peek and this is what we found:how cute is that?
the eggs are the loveliest colors too!

What are you planting this year?

rock garden.

our backyard needs some work! we have been doing more each year to get it how we would like it to look! we added a patio, a small deck & started on the landscaping.

this year we removed the "bush garden" that was so out of control my grandpa had to come in with his backhoe to dig it all out.

we are planning on planting 6 giant thuga bushes to use as a fence of sorts and block out the ugly scenery & create a rock garden on the mound of dirt that is back there!

i found a great article {with a photo gallery} about English rock gardens here!

i can't wait to get started! I will {of course} keep you posted on how it goes & share the finished product!
