What I wore + Lauren Conrad Feature!

Pink skinny's: American Eagle, Shirt: TJ Maxx, Booties: Target, necklace: jessicaNdesigns.

I will be real honest here: I rarely get dressed out of my sweats. Why? I work from home. Enough said right? It is actually sad how many days consist of the same sweats & a messy bun.  I keep vowing that I will actually get dressed and fix my hair more if for nothing else than to feel better about myself and possibly remind the hubby why he used to think I was hot! ;)

Skinny Jeans: Jessica Simpson, Tribal Sweater: Forever 21

But when Erin of Living in Yellow started her IG series #liylookoftheday it gave me the extra shove I needed to start getting dressed!  Do I get all dolled up every day? No. But it's a huge improvement from before! And I am having so much fun linking up on Instagram! Plus, I feel 100% better about my self. It is amazing what putting on something other than sweats, fixing your hair & adding a little make up can do for you!

In case you missed my extreme excitement (that word doesn't really cut it) on Instagram last week, Lauren Conrad (my girl crush since Laguna Beach) featured the spoon I made for her on her Instagram AND her blog!

It was seriously such an amazing thing. I can't express how humbled, blessed & grateful I am.  So thank you Lauren. And thank you to all of you...you make my dreams come to life on the daily!

Happy Weekend Friends!

What's Your Morning Routine? Day 3 with Natalie of BBM.

9.19.2013

Natalie & I put together a fun project for The Influence Conference NEXT WEEK! We asked 6 bloggers who will be attending the conference to share their morning routines with us. We equipped them with our Latte Mug + Spoon sets to kick start their mornings!

I will share a blogger a day leading up to the conference! Then I will be off to meet new people, get inspired, worship & have a great time in Indiana!

We asked Natalie of the Busy Budgeting Mama: What's your morning routine?

I am a night owl.
I get this from my mama.
She is the same way.. we have always been little busy bees at night, working on stuff...
We laugh about how my dad, when we are all together visiting,
STILL goes through the house turning off the lights around us at 9:00pm.
That's like.. hoursss before you really need to go to bed ;) ;)
Since having kids..I found myself NEEDING to stay up at night so I could actually get things done. Some days, that's the only way things happen!

I don't mind waking up and getting rolling in the morning...
If wake up can come after 7 or 8.
But my little wee ones are MORNING PEOPLE...
and as soon as the sun shines they are ready to take on the day.
Even black out shades don't keep these stinkers sleeping.
They have FINALLY been waking up at 7:00/7:30...
instead of the typical 6:00/6:30.

Growing up I was not a coffee drinker.
But since having a third child....I remember telling Nen OK...
I am going to force myself to like it. haha.
Luckily for me...my husband introduced me to the amazing
combo of chocolate and coffee...cafe mocha....I love you.
(the coffee and the husband)

I need a few things to force help me be a morning person.
Jesus.
A Pretty breakfast area.
Cafe Mocha in a pretty mug.
and of course Morning smoochies from the kids.
(preferably ones without food/boogers etc on their face.)

Pancakes make it easier to be a morning person too.
coffee cake.. sausage egg stratta..you get the idea.
Having real food..or a tasty breakfast food makes it easier to do
the whole up at the crack of dawn thing.
I love oatmeal. or Danon Fit & Active Vanilla yogurt with blueberries and granola. yum.

What's Your Morning Routine? Day 1 with Erin of Blue Eyed Bride.

9.17.2013

Natalie & I put together a fun project for The Influence Conference NEXT WEEK! We asked 6 bloggers who will be attending the conference to share their morning routines with us. We equipped them with our Latte Mug + Spoon sets to kick start their mornings!

I will share a blogger a day leading up to the conference! Then I will be off to meet new people, get inspired, worship & have a great time in Indiana!

We asked Erin of the Blue Eyed Bride: What's your morning routine?

We’re in the phase where a certain four-year-old is knocking on our door every morning at 6:00 a.m. This is the earliest he has ever woken up.

And Todd and I are night owls. I hit my second wind at 10:00 p.m. I blog, I watch TV, I stay up way too late for his 6:00 a.m. wake up call.

So Hudson gets our day going. Todd and I sludge around and doze with Hudson in the bed until about 7:00 a.m. And then we start running and racing.

Dressing kids, getting ourselves dressed. Letting the dogs out and feeding the dogs and getting breakfast for the kids. I may guzzle a cup of coffee and wish I had more time to really enjoy it before we jump in the car and head off to school.

I spend my morning while they’re at school running errands, going to the gym, doing housework. Trying to wake up, basically.

But after school, and after lunch. My “mommy power hour” begins.

I get the boys down for naps, let the dogs out, get dinner prepped, and then it’s my time.

Because our mornings start out with us all running wild, I take time during nap time for coffee and quiet.

I turn on my favorite praise music and spread out. The TV is off. The toys are out of sight. I can hear my thoughts.

I sip my coffee slowly out of my gorgeous, enormous latte mug, and I soak up the Word. I work on my daily to-do list, and I have a couple of hours to do it.

It’s my favorite time of day, and if I’m feeling extra productive, I may even go back for a second cup.

I just need a little bit of quiet, a breakfast blend K-Cup, and the Word.

Kelley's Island 2013

8.29.2013

For about 7 years now we have tried to plan a family vacation tradition with our best friends & it has never worked out.  Until this year that is! It was short a short trip, but a sweet one full of memories! Though I love the ocean, we decided to stay closer to home & went to Kelley's Island Ohio. I had not been there since high school.

Kelley's Island is beautiful. You take a ferry to get to the island & it is so peaceful there. We kept asking each other, "why don't we come here more often?"  It's an island in Lake Erie & has a population of approximately 313 on the 4.1 square mile island.  Most people drive golf carts or ride bikes around the island, we did both and it was so much fun! All the kids said the golf cart was there favorite thing!

We spent our time at the pool, eating at the local restaurants, searching the beaches for shells, taking walks, exploring the island, getting ice cream down town & watching sunsets over the water. It was a great vacation!

I found that I couldn't stop snapping pictures of the scenery, especially the water. I have always felt most alive by the water!  I have dreamed of owning a little beach cottage one day. I always pictured it by the ocean, but I am considering changing my dream to owning a lake house!

My best friend of 24 years & our kiddos.

Did you go on vacation this year? Where are your favorite vacation spots?

Life Lately: According to my iPad.

5.17.2013

Follow me on Instagram: @jessicaNdesigns

I can't believe it is the middle of May! So much is going on right now! I launched a new line of stacking rings, school is wrapping up, my daughter is turning 7 this month, we are planning a couple weekend trips, we are throwing a 10 year anniversary bash (I can't believe we have been married almost 10 years!) & I am working on some new jewelry pieces. Whew! Lots to do!

At busy times in life like these I am reminded of how fast life goes by. That soon my babies will be big, soon there will be no more snuggles on the couch, no more binkies, no more sweet little baby feet running down the hallway.  And it makes me sad.  I am constantly reminded and inspired by Casey to soak it all in.

Life changes. Life goes on. It is sad & it is happy.

But I have been reminding myself lately when my life gets hard, when my life gets stressful, when I am overwhelmed and want to scream and run away, that this is my life & it is flying by. I need to stop and live in the moment. Stop and enjoy my life & my babies. Stop and actually LIVE my life.

My heart is so full right now. I want to remember this time in my life forever. I want to lock these feelings in my heart forever. I want to hold my babies tight and never let go...

Linking up at Life Rearranged & The Wiegands.
