I've been drawn to pretty things for as long as I can remember (who isn't?) - bright, electric pink sunsets; roses with impossibly soft petals, dupioni silks and rugged linens; intricate patterns found in doodles and damask. There's something about the texture of fabrics and the patterns of paper that mesmerize and inspire me.
So when I get a moment to myself, I sneak away to sew and recreate some of that simple beauty that God has allowed in my life.
I grew up in a creative, compassionate family of music-makers and people-helpers that helped form me into who I am today - a Christian wife and mom that wants to bring some fun and joy into other's lives by making pretty things out of other pretty things!
(And oh, yeah - about the shop name, Fa Sew La Stitches - I'm a music teacher, too!)
